Cool Nature Fact
There are more than 20 species of raccoons. Their special abilities include using their front feet like a human uses their hands, to open containers. When climbing down a tree, they go head first and turn their hind feet backwards. They don't run or jump well, but they are great swimmers and can stay in the water for hours.
